Intern Experience and Projects
As an Intern for the Interior design team within facilities design and construction I was able to attend client meetings as well as pre-install and pre-construction meetings. I worked in the materials library ordering and re-organizing, and was also able to pull fabric options for projects to help the designers. I also worked on updating our master finish schedules throughout the week. As I was exposed to more of what our systems are here I was able to help with things such as furniture layouts as well as beginning my training in CET alongside the designers, I even have been able to work on some of my own small projects. Below are a few projects and tasks I was involved in over the summer.

This project consisted of a furniture selection and layout within the program CET. I also was able to choose material choices for this particular project for the client to choose from.

This project consisted of a repaint to refresh the student and staff areas of this building. After the client meeting to discuss the project scope and choose paint colors, I created a plan with notes for the painters to use. You can see how the project turned out!

These are some examples of documents I put together for different project scopes. I selected furniture options based on the client's budget and project needs. These were created using Bluebeam and sent to clients for review.

This was an example of a carpet, paint, and Rubber base standard for a client to see in order to choose a new paint color and flooring option for their office space. This was also created in Bluebeam as well as the Mannington visuals for the carpeted room.

I was able to choose what areas of the rotunda were painted red in this project and here is how it turned out!

Working within the materials library I was given the task of reorganizing to make room for our new products. This has given me a chance to learn about many different manufacturers and materials.
